8th-graders heading to Gettysburg

The CMS PTO is organizing a field trip to Gettysburg, Pa., for the eighth-graders. Deposits of $25 should have already been paid.

The students Jordak Elementary and Cardinal Intermediate schools can't wait to get their paws on a good book. The Paws for Reading program has been visiting the students' library classes in order to promote the wonderful program. Fourth and fifth-grade students at Cardinal Intermediate School were put to the challenge of creating an achievement chain 1,000 links in length. Students earned links for good grades or improvement.

Open forums to be held

The Cardinal Board of Education will be holding three open forums throughout the district to answer questions and listen to concerns from district residents. This is not a school board meeting with an agenda but an opportunity for residents to talk and for the board to listen.
