Turkey Dinner, Auction



Huntsburg Congregational Church is holding its annual turkey dinner and Chinese auction Oct. 6 from 4-6:30 p.m.

Cost is $10 for adults and $9 for seniors. A children's dinner for ages 5 to 10 is $6 and preschoolers are free. Carryout dinners are available.

Come to the Pumpkin Festival and stay for dinner and the Chinese auction. Call 440-636-5504 for more information.

The church is located at 12435 Madison Road, right across from the Pumpkin Festival.

Tinkled Pink For WomenSafe



The Friends of WomenSafe Tickled Pink Shopping Extravaganza will take place Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kent State University Geauga Campus, 14111 Claridon-Troy Road in Burton.

Shop for cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, handbags, artisan tables, gourmet items, sweet treats and more. Event also features a Chinese auction and refreshments by Koffee Korner.

Admission is $1. Children under 12 are free. Proceeds support the work of WomenSafe.

Amish Auction Benefit



There will be an Amish benefit auction beginning at 4 p.m. Oct. 12 for DDC Clinic ~ Center for Special Needs Children, 15848 Nauvoo Road in Middlefield. Event features a live auction, quilts, horses and furniture, 24-by-24 two car garage and larger Chinese raffle. There will be a bake sale, door prizes and cow patty bingo - the winner receives a half side of beef cut and wrapped for freezer.

Refreshments, soft pretzels, food stand and salad bar will be available.

Be Our Guest Events



Be Our Guest events are given by the following new businesses and are sponsored by the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce. The public is welcome to attend the open house events. Stop in, have a tour, ask questions and enjoy refreshments. There will be contests, door prizes and discounts.

* Oct. 5 from 4-6:30 p.m. at Creative Learning Workshop at 12375 Kinsman Road, Building L, Newbury. Enter the second driveway and look for the letter "L" on the building. Have refreshments, have a tour and learn about all the Creative Learning Worshop can do.

* Oct. 16 from 5 p.m. to closing at Grandma's Garden at 15065 Kinsman Road, unit 5, Burton, next to Zeppes. Find great gifts, learn about the items it makes for Cardinal and Berkshire's Pay to Play programs, have a snack, meet the owners and see how gifts can be personalized.

* Oct. 23 from 5-7 p.m. at Snap Fitness of Middlefield at 15425 W. High St, Middlefield. There will be food, information, tour of the facility, door prizes and contests and discounts.

Sporting Goods Auction



A sporting goods auction will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Buster Miller Farm, 17717 Newcomb Road in Middlefield. Watch for the yellow auction signs.

Contact John Buster Miller at 440-548-2010 or Crist Miller at 440-548-2714 to enter consignments for the auction. They are accepting quality items that pertain to hunting, fishing, camping, etc.

They cannot accept firearms, but can accept ammunition, muzzleloaders, BB guns and bows.

A lunch stand by local schools will be available.
