Geauga Consumer Connection
Each year the chambers of commerce throughout Geauga County hold a show of local businesses to allow consumers to meet the business owners, ask questions and sample products. Geauga Consumer Connection will be held at the KSU Burton Campus May 9 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
The public is welcome and it is free.
Business owners should contact the Burton Chamber of Commerce, which is the host of the expo for 2011. To reserve space, call 440-834-4204 or email info@burtonchamber-ofcommerce.org.
Grange Souper Bowl Sale
The Huntsburg Grange will hold its annual Souper Bowl soup and sub sandwich sale Feb. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To order subs and homemade soup, call 440-636-5517.
Sub ingredients are on a fresh sub bun, with a choice of: turkey, ham, salami, provolone cheese, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, Italian dressing, mayonnaise or mustard. The subs are $5 each.
Homemade soup is available for $1.50 a bowl or $4 a quart. Soup selections include: vegetable beef, turkey meatball, ham-cheese and potato, Hobo chili with noodles and one chef's choice creation.
The sale is held at the Huntsburg Town Hall, and can be picked up there or you can dine in. There will be a Super Bowl trivia game going with a prize for the winner.
Chamber meeting
The next meeting of the Middlefield Chamber will be on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14 at noon at Retro Al's Internet Cafe. Lunch cost is $12 a person. Lunch will be catered by Cater 4 U.

There is planning going on and committees being formed for the upcoming events to showcase area businesses. Please come to the meetings and participate and network. One does not need to be a member to attend the meetings; guests and visitors are always welcome.
2012 membership is due now. 2011 membership information is displayed on the Web site. If there are no changes, simply mail in the membership dues or bring them to the next meeting.
