Fourth-graders learned that a dime, lying flat, measures one millimeter. One enterprising student, Tim Cermak, worked with his dad to create a device to measure a meter of change. The class then decided to collect dimes, estimate their value, count them, wrap them and donate them to charity. Thus, an outreach project was born. ...
