Vivian L. Alford, of Burton, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Nov. 20, 2012, at her residence. She was 94.
Born Dec. 26, 1917, in New Rochelle, N.Y., she has been a longtime area resident.
Vivian loved to garden, crossword puzzles, music and reading. Her greatest love was spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Jeri (John) Prymmer of Auburn Township and Rick (Ruth) Fontes of Waller, Texas; and nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grandchild, Taylor.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township.
Visitation is Monday, Nov. 26 from 5-8 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
