William “Bill” Robert Cramer, of Middlefield, passed away March 2, 2013, at his residence with his family by his side. He was 83.
Bill was born on July 12, 1929, in Lycippus, Pa., son of Albert and Rachel (nee Summy) Cramer. He married Sara “Sally” M. Bronson on Nov. 27, 1950, in Greensburg, Pa. They were married 62 years and lived in this area over 50 years.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952. He was a machinist at Euclid Equipment. His hobbies included listening to Bluegrass music, gardening and growing Asiatic and hybrid Lilies.
He was a member of the North American Lily Society and he was serving as president of his grandchildren’s fan club.
Bill will be missed dearly by his friends and family, including his wife, Sally Cramer; children, Bob (Sharon) Cramer, Carol (Andy) Holloman, Sue (Jay) Becker and Brenda (Paul) Wolff; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice at Home or to North American Lily Society, or to the Cardinal High School Cardinaires.
