Dennis R. “Denny” Long, 68, of Nelson Township, passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. in Ravenna.
He was born March 18, 1944, in Ravenna to Robert and Marjorie (nee Bell) Long.
Denny served in the United States Army during Vietnam. After his service, he worked at W.S. Tyler, where he was a press operator.
Denny was a member of VFW Post #7200 in West Farmington and the Trumball Gun Club.
He enjoyed the outdoors, riding his Harley and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Donna Long of Nelson; and his dog, Nibbles.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Marty.
Friends may join the family for his visitation on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, from 7-9 p.m. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township with full military honors.
