Patricia M. Jonath, of Huntsburg Township, passed away Feb. 28, 2013, at her residence with her family by her side. She was 60.
She was born on Sept. 16, 1952, in Bedford, daughter of Nicholas and Grace (nee Donaldson) Motil.
After graduating from Cardinal High School in 1970, she attended Kent State University for three years.
Patricia married William Jonath on Oct. 16, 1976, in Claridon Township. They were married 36 years and lifelong residents of this area.
She was a member of the Ladies’ Bunko Group and met in the fall and winter every other Monday.
Her hobbies included cooking and flower and vegetable gardening. She grew pumpkins for the Huntsburg Pumpkin Festival and enjoyed helping others.
She especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Patricia will be missed dearly by her husband, Bill; son, Robert (Brittany) Jonath of Huntsburg; daughter, Brenda (Jack) Newman of Sandusky; and grandchildren, Sierra Marty, Jasmine and Michael Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother William Motil; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Evelyn McGranahan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 5 at Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St., Middlefield.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Middlefield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, if desired.
