James "Jimmy” Brezina, of Newbury Township, died Feb. 7, 2013, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township. He was 71.
Born April 29, 1941, in Cleveland, he was a lifelong Newbury resident.
He was a 37-year member of Carpenter’s Local #254, Cleveland. Jimmy enjoyed model trains and history.
He has walked all the tracks of the Interurban Train. He liked to fish and travel.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Lee (nee Gergen) Brezina of Newbury; children, Jamie Brezina of Newbury and David (Joan) Brezina of Gurnee, Ill.; grandchildren, Grace, Gretchen, Lauren and Luke; brothers, Gerald (Sally) Brezina of San Antonio, Texas, and Jack (Beth) Brezina of Newbury; niece, Kelly (Walter) White; and nephew, Jeff Brezina.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 12 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be in Munn Cemetery in Newbury.
