James Roger Prinkey, age 80, passed away Dec. 16, 2012, in Avon Park, Fla.
He was born in Normalville, Pa., on Dec. 15, 1932, to Carl K. and Marie (nee Miller) Prinkey. James had been a resident of Avon Park since 2003, coming from Middlefield.
He was a press operator, member of Mapletown Square Dance Club and Hub Square Dance Club.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Prinkey, of Avon Park; children, Roger Prinkey (Bobbi) of Newbury Township, David Prinkey (Jodel) of Wayland, Ohio, Carl Prinkey (Joyce) of Burton, James Prinkey (Lisa) of Farmington, Sally Francisco (Gary) of Winter Haven, Fla., Barbara Prinkey of Chardon, Debra Taylor (Leonard) of Southington, Christine Prinkey of Farmington and Darlene Slusher (Rick) of Bristolville; step-son, Edward Fishel of Parkman Township; brother Larry Prinkey of Texas; sisters, Marie Howell of Tennessee and Gwen Phillips of Virginia; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Prinkey was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally; and brothers William and Carlton.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park.
