Tony Kolinsky, a lifelong resident of Troy Township, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 8, 2012, at Burton Health Care. He was 78.
He was born on July 25, 1934, in Troy, son of Anton and Susie Kolinsky. After graduating from Burton High School in 1952, Tony worked at Northern Ohio Paving for 50 years and retired in 2002.
He was a farmer and a very active member of Geauga County Farm Bureau and Farm Land Preservation in the State of Ohio.
Tony married Kathryn Byler in the early 60’s and attended St. Edward Catholic Church in Parkman Township.
He will be missed dearly by his friends and family, including his sons, Thom (Helen) Stowe of Huntsburg Township, and Jeff (Tracy) Stowe and Mark Kolinsky, both of Troy; honorary son Harold (Cathy) Johnson of Troy; three grandchildren, David (Erin) Stowe, Tom (Bethany) Stowe and Bryan Stowe; and five great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, in 2010; parents; and brother, John.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 16150 Center St., Parkman. Rev. John Burkley will officiate.
Visitation is Thursday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St., Middlefield.
Burial will be at Mumford Road Cemetery in Troy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Christ the Bridegroom Monastery for all their loving care with Tony and Kathryn, 17485 Mumford Road, Burton, OH 44021.
