Richard A. Herr, of Munson Township, died Nov. 23, 2012, at his residence. He was 83.
Born March 24, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo., to Charles and Caroline (nee Schmermund) Herr, he was a longtime area resident.
Mr. Herr was a retired account executive for Mil-Rob Corp. of Aurora.
Richard was an avid tennis and platform tennis player.
He is survived by his longtime companion Allison Titgemeier of Munson; sons, Chris (Linda) of Kokomo, Ind., and Peter (Cathy) of Liberty Township; daughters, Janet Keller of Houston, Texas, and Laurie (Kevin) Byrnes of Bainbridge Township; seven grandchildren; and brother Eugene of St. Louis and sister Helen Benner of Ames, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister; and granddaughter Ashley Rose Herr.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Nov. 27 at Community Church of Chesterland (please call the church for information 440-729-7898).
