Minnie V. Jerke, of Montville Township, died Nov. 10, 2012, at University Hospital, Cleveland. She was 81.
Born Sept. 2, 1931, she was a lifelong Montville resident and a graduate of Chardon High School.
Minnie V. Skinner married Richard E. Jerke in Montville on Dec. 14, 1956. He preceded in death on April 8, 2003.
A homemaker, Minnie was a member of the Thompson United Methodist Church. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and flowers. She and her husband enjoyed traveling around the USA.
Minnie is survived by her daughters, Judy (Lonnie) Brail of Jefferson, Jean Scribben of Huntsburg Township and Joan Jerke of Montville; grandchildren, Bobby Havlicek, Karen Roderick, Kelly Alisesky, Richard Jerke, J.T. and Steven Ferrand, Dawn and Carl Scribben; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Mills of Montville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mildred (nee Phillips) Skinner; husband, Richard E. Jerke; and brothers, Carl and Ray Skinner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 15 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. Rev. Tom Gruver of the Thompson United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until the service.
Burial will take place in Montville Cemetery.
