MaryAnn “Mev” LeRoy, of Newbury Township, died Nov. 21, 2012, in Goodyear, Ariz. She was 55.
Mev was born in Cleveland on May 23, 1957. She was a lifelong resident of Newbury, graduating from Newbury High School in 1975, and marrying Harry F. LeRoy on June 19, 1983, at St. Helen Catholic Church.
Mev enjoyed vacations and traveling, especially to North Carolina and a variety of casinos. She also enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening and spending time with her Pugs.
Survivors include her husband, Harry LeRoy, of Newbury; daughters, Lindsey (Adam) Green of Burton Village and Leah LeRoy of Newbury; father, Steve Filakosky of Newbury; sisters, Linda (John) Martin of Mesa, Ariz., Sandy Wiberg of Brocton, N.Y., and Carol Filakosky of Burton Township; and brother, Steve Filakosky of Mesa.
Mev was preceded in death by her mother, MaryAnn (nee Soflkiancs) Filakosky.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Dec. 5 starting at 5 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 6 at Munn Cemetery, Music Street, Newbury.
