Robert M Courie, 57, of Thompson Township, went home to be with the Lord after a tragic car accident on Sept. 24, 2012.
Friends were received at the Matteson Funeral Home, 40 Congress St., West Salem, Ohio, Saturday 29, 2012 from noon to 2 p.m. Cremation followed.

Robert was born March 20, 1955, in Medina, the son of Robert and Hazel (nee Leslie) Courie.
He had worked as a body man.
Robert loved his family and enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Crosby) Courie; children, Bobby Courie of Virginia, Jason Courie of Colorado, Crystal Smith of Virginia, Nikole Courie of Virginia, Faith Courie of Elyria and Niyol Courie of Thompson; step=children, Derek, Autumn, Mikhail, Cliff and Erika; mother, Hazel Courie of Medina; brothers, James (Linda) Courie of Lodi, Gary (Cindy) Courie of Medina, Jeff (Barb) Courie of Homerville and Danny Courie of Medina; sister, Darlene Courie of West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
His father Robert Courie preceded him in death.
