Dolores "Dolly" (nee Skiba) Moody, of Chardon Township, died Jan. 22, 2013, at home. She was 80.
Born Oct. 23, 1932, in Chardon to Kazmer and Sophie (nee Grotkowski) Skiba, she has been a lifelong Chardon resident.
Dolly worked as a nurses aide at Corey Hospital in Chardon, where she met her future husband, Gene, in 1953.
Dolly is survived by her husband, Norvel “Gene” Moody of Chardon Township; daughters, Barbara (Les) Petrus of Huntsburg Township and Rebecca (Bill) Shriver of Hambden Township; sons Kenneth of Chardon and Timothy (Janet) of Wickliffe; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and sister MaryAnn Skiba of Chardon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son William Moody; and sister Frances Hupp.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 26 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
Burial will follow in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
