Kathryn Cooper, of Durham, N.C. and formerly of Chardon, passed away July 22, 2012.
Born Sept. 18, 1931, in Youngstown, she spent most of her life in Chardon before moving to North Carolina in 2002.
Mrs. Cooper was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who looked forward to holidays, Sunday dinners and family reunions.
She was an active member of Pilgrim Christian Church in Chardon and Temple Baptist in Durham.
Survivors are her children, Cathy (David) Meek, Richard Cooper and Carrie Walker; brothers Jim (Joanne) Bryson and Don (Maryann) Bryson; grandchildren, Matthew Meek, Amanda (Matt) Panning, Rebekah (Shayne) Miel, and Candice (Tom) Cooper Barath; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kate, Rykan, Emeline and Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Richard Cooper; and her brothers Kendall and Lloyd Bryson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 South Hambden St., Chardon.
