Catholic Schools Week

Students at St. Helen School participated in many fun activities for Catholic Schools Week, but one of them tapped the creativity of students, teachers, and parents alike.

Each class was responsible for creating a float that portrayed the spirit of the class. On Jan. 31, students will parade around the school featuring float creations hoping their class has the winning float. The winning class will enjoy root bear floats on the day of their choice.

Other activities included writing to parish shut-ins, letters showing appreciation to parishioners and teachers, creating thank you coupons to parents and a Mass of thanksgiving to "angel donors" who have helped fund tuition for a number of students.

Catholic Schools Week will be topped off on Feb. 3 with an open house at the school from noon to 2 p.m. All are welcome to visit the science fair, learning fair exhibits, Native American projects and technology in every classroom.
