The Chardon Community Action Team is bringing back its annual car and motorcycle show. Now in its 15th year, the show provides a fun event for families, residents and car and motorcycle enthusiasts. Lake Health is the event’s supercharged sponsor.

The car and motorcycle show takes place Aug. 10 from noon to 4 p.m. on the historic Chardon Square.

Starting off the day, the Stingrayz will be playing music from the ’50s, ’60s and Motown. In addition, there will be more than 100 classic or hot rod cars and motorcycles on display, a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, bake sale and a full menu of delicious classic foods.

Most of the activities are free and those that do have a cost are economically priced so everyone can enjoy.

“When the Chardon Community Action Team started the annual Car and Motorcycle Show 15 years ago, we wanted to create a fun family event on the Chardon Square,” said Cheryl Pfiester, chairwoman of the CCAT Car and Motorcycle Show. “There is no better way for the whole family to have a good time while supporting a good cause.”

Everyone is encouraged to attend to enjoy the classic and hot rod cars and motorcycles, good old-fashioned food and many other fun activities for the whole family.

All monies raised will be used to support the mission of CCAT to lower the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs in the community’s youth through education and community events for youth and their families.

Registrations are still being accepted for cars and motorcycles, which will be professionally judged.
