Good Samaritan Dinner
The Burton Congregational Church, UCC, Good Samaritan Dinner will be held Feb. 19, from 5-6:30 p.m., at the church on the square in Burton. The cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-11 and free for children 3 and under.
The homemade meal consists of meat, two sides, bread, dessert and beverage. Takeout is available by calling 440-834-4495 the day of the dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds go to meet emergency needs of local families.
Geauga Beekeepers Meet
The Geauga County Beekeepers Association will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at Kent State University Burton Campus, 11141 Claridon-Troy Road. Agenda includes a bylaws draft and future meeting topics.
An introduction to bee keeping, packages and getting started will take place from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Then, from 8:30 to 9 p.m., there will be a question and answers along with a discussion on winter clusters and preparing for the spring.
The public is welcome; refreshments will be served. There will be door prizes.

Geauga Co. Tea Party Meets
Judge Timothy Grendell will explain what is happening with the Geauga Park District Board of Commissioners and his vision for the future of the parks at the next meeting of the Geauga County Tea Party Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at the West Woods Nature Center. He will also discuss the Good Deeds program for homeowners.
Bedding Donations Requested
Rescue Village’s animals are in urgent need of new or gently used bedding including blankets, sheets and towels. Supplies may be dropped off at the shelter located at 15463 Chillicothe Road in Russell Township. Please leave donations outside by the front door if the shelter is closed.
Low Cost Cat Spays
Rescue Village and PetFix Northeast Ohio will provide $20 spay surgeries for female cats on Feb. 19 at Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Road in Russell Township. No income qualifications are necessary.
One does not have to live in Geauga County to use the clinic. Space is limited.

Boy Scout Spaghetti Dinner
Boy Scout Troop 93 is holding its third annual spaghetti with meatballs fund-raiser dinner catered by Franco’s Pizza on Feb. 22 from 5-8 p.m. at Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 South Hambden St. in Chardon.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $8 for adults and teens, $5 for youth ages 612, and $7 for seniors 65 and over. Children 5 and under are free.
A silent auction will be held. Proceeds will be used to support scout activities such as camping trips. Email Troop93chardon@sfly.com for information or to purchase tickets.
BHS Spaghetti Dinner, Auction
Berkshire High School Tunebackers will host a spaghetti and meatball dinner and Chinese auction to benefit the high school music department Feb. 14 from 4:30-7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Presale tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Tickets are an additional dollar at the door.
Free Community Breakfast
Ledgewood Christian Church is hosting a free community breakfast Feb. 15 from 8-10:30 a.m. at 8261 Kinsman Road in Novelty.
The church will hosts a breakfast the third Saturday of each month thereafter, weather permitting. Menu includes pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and beverages.

Liver Foundation Benefit
A benefit for the American Liver Foundation will take place Feb. 15 from 6-11 p.m. at the West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township. Event includes a silent and Chinese auction.
Cost is $40 per person or $75 per couple. Food, drinks and entertainment are included.

Memorial Fundraiser Scheduled
The second annual Danny Parmertor Memorial Fundraiser will take place March 1 from 6 p.m. to midnight at LaVera Party Center in Willoughby Hills. Guests must be 21 and over.
The night includes a family-style dinner, reverse raffle, open bar, DJ and guest emcee, Allan Fee from Q104.
Proceeds provide scholarships in Danny’s memory to students from Chardon High School and/or Auburn Career Center who are interested in pursuing a job in the computer or IT professions.
Cost is $125 per couple or $75 per person.
Tri-County Coin Club
The Tri-County Coin Club will meet Feb. 13 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road in Chardon. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. followed by a business meeting at 7:15 p.m. and a 50-plus-lot coin auction, door prizes, coin displays, raffle and 50/50 drawing.
Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month and are free and open to all.

Women’s Shooting League Meet & Greet Scheduled
A Girl & A Gun women’s shooting league will hold a meet and greet event Feb. 15 from noon to 3 p.m. at Reba’s Second Look, 14449 Old State Road in Middlefield.
A second event will be held Feb. 19 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Great Lakes Outdoor Supply, 14855 N. State Ave. in Middlefield.
All women interested in shooting or learning to shoot are invited to come for more information and a chance to win raffle prizes.
