On Nov. 2, the Sew Sew Sweet sewing 4-H club held its first meeting of the new year. The club was happy to have four new members join the club this year.
The members began the meeting by electing new officers to lead the club. Members will begin sewing new projects to show at the Geauga County Fair and to display at the style review show in July. To get ready, the girls are going to Joann Fabric’s on Feb. 15 to choose patterns and materials.
To end the meeting, the club decided to donate $50 to a family who lost their house to a fire. This is just one way the club has helped the community. They also adopted a family during Christmas and shopped for food for a Christmas meal.
The Sew Sew Sweet club is looking forward to a great 4-H year. (Submitted by Mallory Millet, news reporter)
