Holiday Classic, Santa at GLTG

The heart-warming holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street, presented by Geauga Lyric Theater Guild and directed by Patty Osredkar, will open Dec. 6 on the Geauga Theater stage in Chardon. Adapted by Mountain Community Theater and based on a story by Valentine Davies, the play closely follows the 1947 movie version. All ages are sure to enjoy this beloved seasonal tale.

Another popular community holiday event will return again this year. Santa Claus will be hearing the wishes of young believers at the annual Santa at the Theater event on Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free community program will include crafts, games and refreshments. The newly formed GLTG show choir, The Geauga Gems, will perform for the first time ever on the Geauga Theater stage.

Sponsored by Chardon Smile Center and produced in association with Dramatic Publishing Co. of Woodstock, Ill., the production will run Dec. 6-22.
