UH Geauga Medical Auxiliary Vendor Sale

Stop by the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center on April 5 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.to get some great bargains from 15 vendors who will be selling all sorts of items.

Proceeds will benefit the UH Geauga Medical Auxiliary and its outreach to the community.

Kiwanis Maple Products

Chardon Kiwanis maple products are available every weekend in the Log Cabin on Chardon Square. Stop by from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to buy some delicious maple candy cotton, syrup and candies. Kiwanis members will be giving away cotton candy samples.

All proceeds benefit local charities, needy families, college scholarships, international inoculations for children of third-world countries and more.

Kiwanis will continue to sell maple products in the Log Cabin every Saturday and Sunday during the Lenten season except for Easter Sunday, April 20. Sales will continue April 24-27 daily during the Maple Festival and Kiwanis will also be located in the festival tent.

Maple stirs are also available in the sugar house on the Square on Sundays and during the festival.

GEL Breakfast

The public is welcome to enjoy a continental breakfast at Kent State Geauga in Burton April 5 beginning at 7:30 a.m. Dr. Robert Faehnle, executive director of Leadership Geauga since 2005, will speak from 8- 9 a.m. on the importance of this unique organization that develops and encourages current and future leaders from a cross-section of the county by exposing them to community realities, opportunities and challenges so that they may positively contribute to Geauga’s economic, social and civic development.

Free Community Dinner

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Wilson Mills Road in Chardon will open its doors April 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to serve a community dinner. All are welcome. A good will offering will be accepted, but is not necessary.

Comment For The Day

I have been grieving the loss of so many dear friends of late including the unexpected departure of my dear friend Neil Reeder.

God bless his family and I wish them the sincerest condolences.
