Conservative Forum Meets

The Chesterland Conservative Forum will meet Oct. 24 at Orchard Hills Event Center on Caves Road in Chesterland beginning at 7 p.m. Guest speakers include Dan Hromada of Act for America, as well as several candidates for local offices. Pastor Ernie Sanders will give the invocation.

Halloween Events in Chardon

Halloween at the Chardon YMCA will take place on Oct. 25 from 6-8 p.m. with carnival games, face painting and contests. The event is open to the public. Preregistration is requested; the event is limited to 125 children. The cost is $5 or a two-bag donation of wrapped candy per family. For information, call Cyndi Larned, program coordinator or Brenda Seiler at 440-285-7543. The Y is located at 12460 Bass Lake Road.

A scavenger hunt will take place Oct. 26 at the Chardon Giant Eagle from noon to 2 p.m. Costumes for children and adults are optional.

The Chardon Home Depot will present Halloween Trick or Treat – Great Family Fun on Oct. 26 from 12:30-3 p.m. with games, face painting, scare tunnel and more. There will also be a costume contest with first prizes in age categories 5 and under, 6 to 10 and 11 and up. Contest starts at 12:30 p.m. The store is located at 287 Meadowlands Drive across from Wendy’s. The family fun starts at the outdoor garden entrance.

On Oct. 31, there will also be trick-or-treating at the Residence of Chardon from 5:30-6:30 pm, rain or shine. Family and friends are welcome to enjoy candy, punch and pizza. The residence is located at 501 Chardon Windsor Road. Call 440-286-2277 for information.

Lastly, Chardon will host Halloween on Oct. 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. all around town at homes where porch lights are turned on. A big Halloween parade will follow around Chardon Square at 7:30 p.m. Doughnuts, cider and more will be offered to the public in the log cabin.

Happy Birthday Wishes

My dear friend Paula Noyes will celebrate her birthday on Oct. 27 with her entire family, including her twin sons, daughter, daughter-in-law and grandson.

Renee Cook, also of Chardon, will celebrate her birthday on Oct. 27 as well.
