Geauga Caprine Kids

The members of Geauga Caprine Kids 4-H Club have been working very hard at the work meetings. Work meetings are special meetings where the members take any of the animals that they are going to show during the Geauga County Fair so they can practice showing them. The advisors help them by acting as the judges and helping them practice their showmanship skills. The advisors who lead the work meetings are Rachel Toth, Jimmy Toth and Heather Lane.

The club members have a variety of animals that they can show, such as fancy chickens, goats and fancy turkeys. They also have meat animals that they will be selling at the Great Geauga County Fair Auction, such as meat goats, meat chickens and turkeys.

They are all so excited to be able to show everyone what we have been learning all year. Please support 4-H by purchasing an animal at the auction, which will take place on Aug. 30. The money from the sale goes directly to the kids who have raised the animals. Thank you and hope to see everyone there. (Submitted by Alicia Larkins, news reporter)
