Geauga Consumer Connection
Geauga Consumer Connection will be held May 8 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Middlefield Market on Nauvoo Road.
Vendor registration is taking place now. There is a discount offered to vendors that register before March 15.
Call the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce at 440-632-5705 for registration details. If no answer, leave one’s name and phone number for a call back.
The purpose of the event is to give consumers the opportunity to meet Geauga County business owners, ask questions, compare products and find out more about services available. The show is free to attending consumers.
Grange Chili Cook-Off, Auction
The annual Huntsburg Grange Chili Cook-Off and Chinese auction is March 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Huntsburg gym behind the fire station. Parking is available behind the old elementary school.
Buy a chili sampler pack for $3 and one vote for your favorite entry.
To enter the chili cook-off, call Jacquie at 440-636-5510 by March 10. There is a $5 entry fee, with first and second place ribbons and cash prizes and third place honorable mention.
The event also features free St. Patrick’s cake with the famous Grange secret recipe frosting, a Chinese auction drawing starting at 2 p.m., live music by Bob Stanek, checkers tournament, cake walk, handmade afghan raffle, 50/50 raffle and local vendors show. Visitors may order their memorial bricks for $45 with installation in the Memorial Park sidewalk.
The fund-raising event is generously sponsored by Rustic Pathways in Huntsburg. Please come out and have lunch, fun and help raise funds for future community-minded projects.
Lunch With The Mayor
The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce invites all to a luncheon with Middlefield Mayor Ben Garlich. When he took over as mayor of Middlefield Village on Jan. 1, 2012, his primary goal was to build the economic base of this community.
Under his leadership, the Village of Middlefield now offers to residents a state-of-the-art website, is experiencing positive results from a strategic international marketing campaign and has increased in size by 11 percent. Local industries report record sales and are enthusiastically supporting the momentum.
Mayor Garlich will present the “State of the Village” at noon March 12 upstairs in the community room of the Middlefield Fire Department.
Enjoy a homemade, hot lunch of soup, tossed green salad, cold sandwiches, pie, cake and a beverage for $12 per person.
Please RSVP by calling 440-632-5705 or emailing mccinfo@middlefieldcc.com.
The Middlefield Chamber has part-time office hours, so if there is no answer leave a message with name, phone number and information needed. Lynnette will return calls.
