Grange Summer Concerts
Huntsburg Grange presents the first of its free summer concerts on June 29 from 6-8 p.m. in the Hunstburg Bandstand Park at US322 and SR528. The concerts go on rain or shine, so if it rains, the concert and all activities planned will be held inside the town hall.
The Boys are Back will be performing. There will be also cakewalks, 50/50 raffle and chili by the 2013 chili cook-off winner, Pinky Rummel. Bring a lawn chair and a blanket to be comfortable while listening to music and having fun in the park.
All proceeds go to future projects for the good of the community to bring the members of the community together in family-oriented events and support local families and local individuals in times of need.
Thanks go to Tim Frank Septic for sponsoring the concert and for its generous support of the Grange efforts.
The next free concert, which is also sponsored by Tim Frank Septic, is July 20 at 6 p.m. with Fort Huntsburg performing.
Summer Fest Vendors
Middlefield Summer Fest will be held July 27 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., ending in fireworks. Register for the baseball tournament and cornhole tournament or to get a space as a food vendor or as merchant vendor. There will be a beer tent, some fun rides, dunk tank, fair food, local merchants, local restaurants with food, music, live bands and more events.
The vendor space is being organized by the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce, so call 440-632-5705 for contract information. If there is no answer at the part-time office, please leave a message with one’s name and email or mailing address.
Chamber Trunk Sale
The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce’s third annual trunk sale is Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Harrington Square parking lot by Cortland Banks. Reserve a vendor space for $20 or two spaces for $35. Vendors can park their vehicles and sell from their space. Bring tables, chairs, a canopy to cover the space, if desired, and weights for the tent legs because the ground is paved.
To reserve a space and receive a trunk sale vendor contract, call the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce at 440-632-5705. Leave a message with name, mailing address, phone number and email address if there is no answer.
