Firehouse Take Home Rib Dinner

Let Hambden’s firefighters cook Mothers’ Day dinner on May 11. Cost is $20 for a full slab and $16 for a half slab dinner. Dinner includes spareribs, potato wedges, beans, coleslaw and soft drinks.

Dinners will be ready for pickup from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Purchase tickets from any Hambden firefighter or by calling the fire department at 440-285-3329.

Place orders as soon as possible. Delivery is available for safety forces.

Memorial Day Observance

Hambden Township will hold its annual Memorial Day parade and observance May 26. The parade will begin at 9 a.m.

The parade marshal will be Mrs. Cifaglione from Poppa C’s convenience store. Mrs. C. has been an important part of the community for many years and this is a wonderful opportunity for residents to show her how much everyone appreciates all she has done for Hambden.

Hambden resident and Geauga County Commissioner Blake Rear will be the guest speaker at Hambden Congregational Church. Bill Gertz will once again be reading read the names of the Hambden veterans at the township park, and the fire department will be cooking pancakes for everyone after the observance.

All Hambden children are invited to decorate their wagons and bikes for the parade, as well as all Hambden sports teams and 4-H clubs.

Please call the township hall at 440-286-4364 to join in the parade.
