Trustee meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the town hall. The next meeting is March 4. All township meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend. Contact us at 440-636-5486 for more information.

Please visit us on Facebook to see information for the town hall, community center, gym and parks.

The township policy on replacing mailboxes is only to replace boxes that have been struck by the plow or truck. Mailboxes that go down due to heavy snow will not be replaced.

Boxes are replaced with an inexpensive, simple type box only. Please consult one’s postmaster for regulation regarding the installation of a mailbox.

Zoning Inspector Frank S. Corrao III wishes to remind all residents to obtain a zoning permit prior to making construction changes of any kind. Call the office at 440-636-5486, ext. 3 to leaving him a message; he will return the call.

Now that the winter weather has arrived, trustees wish to remind residents not to plow the snow from their driveways into and across the roads.

Please do not plow snow into the ditch across from one’s drive. Placing the extra snow in the ditches will stop the natural drainage of water as the snow melts and can even plug runoff pipes from neighboring properties, resulting in flooding over the roadways.

Remember to instruct plow drivers to keep all snow on one’s property.

Huntsburg has new recycling containers that accept all posted items. Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste Management District provides the recycling containers.

Remember to only recycle items accepted such as glass bottles and jars, aluminum cans and foil, steel food cans and plastic containers that have recycling symbols of 1 through 7. Please clean materials and remove and discard plastic lids.

The recycling center does not accept Styrofoam, pizza boxes, tires, appliances, window glass, light bulbs, ceramics, furniture or cookware. Do leave other items in the park.

All paper products should be placed in the separate paper bin. Bring all unwanted catalogs, phone books, newspapers, school and office papers, magazines, paperback books and junk mail to the recycle bin at Huntsburg Recreation Park.

Huntsburg is a cardboard recycling facility; please collapse all boxes. Shredded paper is accepted in clear plastic bags. Please put a small hole in the bag to allow air to escape, but not the paper.

Thank you for recycling. Trustees hope everyone will make it their New Year’s resolution to be diligent about recycling throughout the year.

Please keep the recycling center clean.
