GLTG Membership Drive
The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild is holding a membership drive through the month of January. Membership fees support the many activities offered by the theatre and vary in cost as low as $10 for seniors ages 62 and older or students, $15 for adults and $25 for a family membership.

Toddler Play & Learn Class
Notre Dame Elementary Preschoool is offering a toddler play and learn class for toddlers ages 18 months to three years accompanied by an adult. Classes are from 8:15-9:30 a.m. and 1:15-2:30 p.m. and include stories, music,crafts, a snack and more. Fee for a six-week session is $90.

At The Rookery
The Geauga Walkers will meet at 1 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Geauga Park District’s Rookery, on Cedar and Rockhaven roads in Munson, for a walk with a GPD naturalist. The walk will be canceled in case of rain or if the temperature is 20 degrees. Dress for the weather.

At the Senior Center
Michael Fath, Ohio historian, will be the guest speaker Jan. 29 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chardon Senior Center, 12550 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. Mike will speak on the history of the South Newbury Union Chapel, which has received an Ohio Historic marker and a National Historic Register plaque. He will also describe historic happenings in the area regarding women’s rights, temperance movement and other important topics of the 19th century. Registration is not required.
Free Sunday Dinner
St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson, extends an open invitation to its Sunday dinner Feb. 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Fellowship Room.
There will be a choice of soups, breads and desserts. Donations are not necessary, but are appreciated.

Remembering World War II
The Geauga County Genealogical Society (GCGS) presents a tribute to all who served in World War II with its next program, “Remembering World War II,” at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Geauga Public Library on Chardon Square.
Guests and members are invited to bring their mementos and share their memories of World War II. Moderator will be GCGS member Herb Wilson.
