WomenSafe Resale Shoppe
The WomenSafe Resale Shoppe, located at 12601 Chillicothe Road in the Drug Mart Plaza in Chesterland, is always in need of donations, including clean clothing, toys, works of art, antiques, books and small furniture items.
All items for sale in the shop are reasonably priced and suitable for all ages. The beautifully maintained shop is operated entirely by volunteers with all proceeds to benefit the services and accommodations offered to victims of domestic violence by WomenSafe at the Green House on Ravenna Road in Munson.

At the Senior Center
Free tax assistance will be available to all seniors, ages 60 years and older, starting Feb. 3 at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. The service is offered by appointment only and requires several items of identification. Call 440-279-2130 for details and registration.
The Geauga County Department on Aging offers a free chore/home maintenance program to assist seniors with routine home maintenance and skilled work. Certain criteria must be met to qualify for assistance. Call 440-279-2130 for information and registration.

Astronomical Society Meets
The Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society extends an open invitation to its next meeting Feb. 1 from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Geauga Park District’s Sunnybrook Preserve Lodge, 12474 Heath Road. Following a short business meeting, there will be a monthly observation report, educational program and night sky viewing if clear. For more information, call 440-286-9516.
Morning Star Friends Church, 12550 Ravenna Road, Munson, will hold its next 12-step Christian recovery program meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 5. The weekly meetings are free to all seeking to overcome an addiction.

Tri-County Coin Club
The Tri-County Coin Club will meet at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 13 at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road in Munson. There will be a 50-plus-lot coin auction, displays, a 50-50 drawing and more.

Forestry, Wildlife Conservation Camp Scholarships Offered
The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is offering scholarship funding for the 2014 Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp to be held June 8-13 at FFA Camp Munskingum in Carroll County. The camp is for high school students, recently graduated seniors and those entering freshman year in the fall 2014.
