Board Members Needed

Munson Township is seeking board members for the Park & Recreation Board and the Zoning Commission. They are voluntary positions.

The park and recreation board meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and the zoning commission generally meets the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

Send a letter of intent and resume to be received no later than June 23 to the Munson Township Trustees, 12210 Auburn Road, Chardon, OH 44024.

Volunteers Needed

The Geauga Council For Arts & Culture (GCAC) needs volunteers to help at the Arts Jam to be held, rain or shine, on and around Chardon Square on June 21. Volunteers are needed to help set up, man performance stations and help with the evening performance.

An artist is also needed to help with window art displays.

Peace Lutheran Rummage Sale

Peace Lutheran Church, 12686 Bass Lake Road, will hold its annual rummage sale June 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and June 14 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

At the Senior Center

Father’s Day will be celebrated at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, on June 13 at 12:30 p.m. Fathers in attendance will be treated to a free lunch. Bring special memories of one’s father to share. Reservations are requested now at 440-279-2130.

Spaces are still available for the Chardon Senior Center’s indoor garage sale taking place June 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is open to the public. For information and to obtain a sale space, call 440-279-2130.

With the Arts

Ursuline College, 2550 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, will hold an opening reception for the Art Therapy Juried Exhibition on June 13 from 5-9 p.m. in The Florence O’Donnell Wasmer Gallery.

The exhibit features creative work in all media of Art Therapy and Counseling Faculty students and alumnae. Free and open to the public, the show continues through Aug. 1.

Geauga Family First Council

The Geauga Family First Council will meet at 2:30 p.m. June 16 at the Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Road, Munson.

The monthly meetings are free and offer support, understanding and help with family problems as offered by various Geauga County agencies. Preregistration is not necessary.

Join the GANG

The Geauga Arts Network Group extends an open invitation to a special evening with a musical treat on June 17, from 6:30-8 p.m., at Heinen’s Cafe in Chardon.

Guest artists will be harmonica players Art and Debbie Temple. The evening’s host will be popular area musician Nicky Bucur.
