Heartfelt Thanks

On behalf of Geauga County Job and Family Services, a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation to and support of our seventh annual Help Me Learn Day school supply program.

Donations were received from a variety of organizations, churches, businesses and individuals throughout the county. Over 615 children throughout Geauga County received assistance and requests are still being received.

A wide variety of donations were received including back packs, flash drives, paper, notebooks, markers, pencils, pens, crayons, scissors, folders and much more.

Parents brought their children to one of two distribution days where they shopped for their supplies. Volunteers helped kids fill their bags with items on their school supply list. There was no cost to the families, but they did need to demonstrate a need. The Hair Nook in Newbury also donated haircuts for children.

One parent wrote, For everyone who contributed, just know that your donations are appreciated beyond words. You make a difference in the lives of so many including us parents. Looking forward to my opportunity next year to pay it forward. God Bless.

Thank you again for supporting this very worthwhile program and helping so many children begin the school year prepared.
