Ice Cream Weekends
Lake Metroparks Farmpark is serving up lots of frozen fun in July. Try one’s hand at making ice cream and meet the dairy cows that produce milk and cream. Find out where one’s favorite ice cream flavor comes from. Kids have fun discovering hands-on how ice cream comes from cow to cone in the Factory of Frozen Fun.
Lake Farmpark will dish out Pierre’s Ice Cream at ice cream socials complete with toppings from J.M. Smucker’s. Sundaes are $1 to support Farmpark education programs.
Hand milk a cow and learn how they separate the cream from the milk. Help make homemade ice cream the old fashioned way with a hand-cranked machine.
Hours for Ice Cream Weekends are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekend in July. Ice cream socials are served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $4 for kids ages 2 to 11, $6 for adults and $5 for seniors 60 and older; Farmpark members and children under 2 are free.
