VBS at Chardon UMC

Chardon United Methodist Church will hold “Take a Walk on The Wild Side! Weird Animals: Where Jesus’ Love is One-Of-A-Kind!” Vacation Bible School June 9-13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Come and make new friends, do amazing experiments, play games, have snacks, go on surprising adventures and listen to music.

Federated Church VBS

Federated Church Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge Township, will hold God’s Big Blue World June 16-20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children ages 3-10 years will explore God’s sacred gift of water through Bible stories, music, games, crafts and fun.

Cost is $35 per child or $75 maximum per family plus adult volunteer commitment.

Friendship Alliance VBS

Friendship Alliance Church will hold “Weird Animals: Where Jesus’ Love is One-of-a-Kind” Vacation Bible School June 9-13 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Moms in Prayer

Mothers who are worrying about sending their children to kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school or college in the fall can turn their worries to prayer with the support of other moms praying for their children and schools. Bible Lego Club

New Promise Church Children’s Ministries will present the Bible Lego Club in the “Promisetown” children’s area of the church each Wednesday through Aug. 27 from 7-8:15 p.m.

The free club is for children in kindergarten through sixth-grade. A Bible story will be presented each session and the kids will use Legos to create from what they learned.

Double Feature Movie Night

On June 20 at 7 p.m., Chester Christian Center A/G Church, 11815 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township, will be hosting a Questar and World Net Daily film titled “7 Signs of Christ’s Return” and “The Rabbi Who Found Messiah,” also by Questar and Carl Gallups, Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. New Promise Hosts Speaker

The Ladies Pursuing Holiness ministry of New Promise Church will host nationally known author and speaker Patsy Lewis on June 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. Lewis will present “Go Change Your World!” The event is free, but a love offering will be taken. Call 440-256-3705 for reservations by June 6.

Foley’s Finale

The Federated Church family will honor Bill and Carol Foley June 7 and 8, who will retire after 50 years of music ministry mid-June. The weekend celebration begins June 7 at 6 p.m. at Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge.

The “Foley’s Finale” will commemorate the couple’s providing leadership and inspiration to the church’s music ministry. Dinner will be served with a short program and surprises to follow. Reservation and prepayment for the dinner are required. Contact the church at 440-247-6490 with any questions.

The celebration continues Sunday during 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services at Federated Church, 76 Bell St., Chagrin Falls. There will be special music shared by the Chancel Choir and the Men of Chagrin, which are currently directed by Bill Foley. There will also be a solo offering by a former Cleveland Boy Choir member during both worship services.
