School Safety Meeting
The public school safety committee open meeting is April 30 at 7 p.m. at Cardinal Middle School.
Grange Rummage Sale
The Huntsburg Grange will hold its annual rummage sale April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Huntsburg Town Hall. Refreshments will be available.
Proceeds help the Grange continue its community projects, such as the flagpole renovation, the rebuilding and maintenance of the bandstand, the June Thurling Memorial Garden, which will be dedicated in June, the free summer concert series, helping the local food cupboard and families in need, riding camp contributions and USO contributions.
For upcoming scheduled events, call 440-477-2822.
Kiwanis Fish Fry
The East Geauga Kiwanis Fish Fry is April 19 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Middlefield Fire Department. Diners have a choice of fish or shrimp, fries or baked potato. Carryouts available.
Geauga Consumer Connection
Geauga Consumer Connection will be held May 8 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Middlefield Market Pavilion on Nauvoo Road. Admission to the show is free.
Each year, all of the Geauga County chambers of commerce come together and organize area businesses to set up in one location. The location is hosted by a different chamber each year.
The show is for the consumer to enjoy an evening in a family friendly atmosphere, meet vendors and discover what is available in Geauga County. Visitors may taste samples from local restaurants, get free samples or products, mingle and meet new people, gather information, order and buy products and network.
There will be businesses from all of Geauga County, and the variety of products is mind-boggling. It is truly a show not to miss.
There are still some vendor spaces available. Call the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce Office at 440-632-5705 for registration. Deadline to register is May 1.
The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce April meeting was held in Cornerstone Bible Church Ministry Center, 15029 Enterprise Way in Middlefield. The speaker was Lori Gorrell, owner of True Colors Coaching and Consulting of Middlefield. Lori spoke to the members on “providing game-changing skills for individuals and organizations,” giving attendees the opportunity to see what gets in the way of achieving personal and professional success and then learning what to do about it using one unique and powerful tool.
Lori is available for seminars, training and teaching on all levels. True Colors Coaching and Consulting may be reached at 440-391-4771 or visit www.TrueColorsCC.com.
There will be no Middlefield Chamber Meeting in May because it is holding the Geauga Consumer Connection on May 8 in the Middlefield Market Pavilion.
