Township Meetings

At Munson Township Hall: April 28, Zoning Commission, 7 p.m.; May 13, Board of Trustees, 6:30 p.m.; May 13, Park & Recreation Board, 6:30 p.m.; May 15, Board of Zoning Appeals, 6:30 p.m.; May 19, Zoning Commission, 7 p.m.

Organization Meetings

With the Arts

Ursuline College, 2550 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, will host a public reception April 25, from 5-9 p.m., for the 2014 Senior Art Show in the Florence O-Donnell Wasmer Gallery.

The artwork includes sculpture, paintings, jewelry and photography. The show continues through May 16.

Aqua Doc Open House

Aqua Doc Lake & Pond Management, 10779 Mayfield Road, Munson, celebrates 30 years with an open house on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meet the staff and tour the facility. Refreshments served.

Celebrate Recovery

Morning Star Friends Church, 12550 Ravenna Road, Munson, offers a Christian 12-step addiction recovery program every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the church. The next meeting is April 30, with fellowship and a meal served at 6:15 p.m. The meetings are free to all; registration is not required. For more info, call 440-286-2510.

NAMI Peer Support Group

Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness will hold a peer support group meeting at 7 p.m. May 1 at the Geauga Board of Mental Health & Recovery, 13244 Ravenna Road, Munson.

The monthly NAMI meetings provide education, support and advocacy to those affected by mental illness and their families. The meetings are free and open to the public.

Shutterbugs Camera Club

Shutterbugs Camera Club will meet May 1, from 7-9 p.m., at the Geauga Park District’s West Woods Nature Center in Russell Township. The photography clinic opens at 6 p.m.

The monthly meetings are open to all ages and levels of experience in the artistry of photography. There will be announcements, an instructional session on a variety of photography topics and refreshments. Registration is not required.

Free Sunday Dinner

St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson, will offer a free Sunday dinner May 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be a choice of soups, breads and desserts. Donations are not necessary, but are appreciated. To help prepare or serve the dinner, or for more information, call 440-285-4641.

WomenSafe Spring Luncheon

Reservations are being accepted for the 15th annual Friends of WomenSafe Spring Luncheon to be held at 11:30 a.m. May 14 in the banquet room of St. Mary’s Church, 401 North St. in Chardon.

Guest speaker will be Natalie Saikaly Ronaine, executive director of Cleveland Botanical Gardens. There will be a Chinese auction and lunch served by Reserve House Catering.

Proceeds benefit the services and accommodations offered to victims of domestic violence at The Green House on Ravenna Road, Munson.
