Thank You, Ron Atkinson

Ron Atkinson, retiring Munson Township Zoning Commission member, was honored for his 17 years of dedicated voluntary service with a proclamation presented to him by state Sen. John Eklund, R-Munson, at the Nov. 26 trustees meeting. Ron will be missed, as he was a dedicated, well-informed member of the commission.

With Sympathy

Heartfelt sympathy goes to family and friends of Maureen Simkins (Mrs. Raymond Simkins) of Munson Township who passed away Dec. 7 at the age of 53. Maureen was a registered nurse and nursing administrator with University Hospitals for 29 years. Maureen will be missed by all who knew her.

With the Arts

Congratulations go to the nine Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin artists who won nine of the 63 awards at the Cleveland Clinic’s eXpressions Art Program. There were more than 1,000 entries submitted by schools throughout the Cleveland Clinic’s market area.

The prizewinning artwork will be on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The artists will receive gift cards and their NDCL staff art teachers will be awarded educational grants at the Clinic.

Best wishes to all for continued success in the world of art.

Christmas Eve and Day

Two of our most beloved holidays are Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 and Christmas Day, Dec. 25. Best wishes to all for joyous celebrations with family and friends.

If you drink alcoholic beverages, please do not drive. If you observe someone who appears too drunk to drive, take away their car keys and take them home. The lives you save may be yours and your loved ones.
