Red Cross Bloodmobile
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Notre Dame Educational Center, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson, Oct. 8, 1-6 p.m. Donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.

The Geauga Walkers will meet at 1 p.m. Oct. 8 at Munson’s Scenic River Retreat. Park at the first lot at the top of the hill. A Geauga Park District naturalist will accompany the walk.

More Trees, Please!
Mary Slingluff, owner of Avalon Gardens, Fowlers Mill Road, Munson, will be one of the featured speakers at the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District – Geauga County Master Gardener forum, More Trees, Please!, being held Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Geauga Park District’s West Woods Nature Center.

Happy Tails Cat Benefit
A Sunday social to benefit the Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary will be held 1-4 p.m., Oct. 13, in the clubhouse of Pineview Lake, 10036 Wilson Mills Road in Munson. The event includes a buffet lunch, a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle.
Reservations at $35 per person are required by Oct. 7. Tickets will be held at the door.

Good Tidings Benefit Choir
The Good Tidings Benefit Choir begins practicing Oct. 13, from 2-4 p.m., for its Christmas concerts at the Notre Dame Provincial Chapel, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson. The practices will be held every Sunday until the performances, which are Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.

At the Senior Center
The Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, is in need of volunteers to help with home-delivered meals. Meals are delivered weekdays and usually take one and one-half to two hours for approximately 10 to 15 home bound seniors. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Please note: All Geauga County Senior Centers will be closed Oct. 14 in observance of Columbus Day.
The Geauga Park District will hold a Fall Color Canoe Float Oct. 19 from 1-3 p.m. at Bass Lake Preserve boat launch in Munson. Event is for individuals 10 and older; one must be 12 or older to paddle. Lessons are not included. The event is free, with registration required no later than Oct. 18 by phone only, 440-286-9516.
Save the Date
The Munson Fire Department will host its annual Halloween party Oct. 31 from 6-9 p.m. at the Munson Fire Station. All residents, young and old, are invited to attend the event full of surprises, treats and spooky fun.
