Trick Or Treat

Trick or treating in Hambden Township will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Trustees hope all Hambden trick-or-treaters have a great time and stay safe.

Hambden Highlights

The quarterly newsletter, Hambden Highlights, is in the mail. Be sure to look for it to arrive by the end of the week.

The Community Corner is spotlighting a new Chardon business, “The Nest,” owned by Hambden residents Stephanie and Kevin Talty, a wrap-up of this year’s community picnic and other information residents will find of interest.

Anyone who does not receive a copy should contact the township hall at 440-286-4364 to be put on the mailing list for future issues.

Hambden Resident Honored

Hambden resident Betty Taylor began working the election polls in Hambden in 1964. She recently retired after having one of the longest working records on file at the Board of Elections.

Betty served the citizens of Hambden and Geauga County in nearly every election, serving as presiding judge of the precinct where she worked. In December of 2012, Betty was honored with a commendation from the Ohio Secretary of State for her many years of service.

It will not be the same on Election Day when everyone goes to vote and Betty is not there to take the information and say hello. Trustees just wanted to take this opportunity to let her know how much everyone appreciates all she has done. Thank you, Betty.
