Weird Animals VBS
Middlefield First United Methodist Church is hosting Weird Animals Vacation Bible School July 21-24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Children ages 4 to 12 will experience Bible adventure, untamed games, fun science gizmos, snacks at Critter Care, and wild and wacky activities.
Registration is required. Parents should arrive at 6 p.m. on the first evening to complete parental permission form and medical form.
VBS is free to all. Donations will be accepted to help support the church’s adopted Compassion International child who lives in Nicaragua.

Mobile Food Pantry
Mobile Food Pantry, formerly known as Produce to People, is held the fourth Tuesday of each month through November at the Middlefield First United Methodist Church, 14999 South State Ave. in Middle-field Village. The next date is July 22.
Provided by the Cleveland Food Bank, everyone is welcome to come and pick up free produce and other items available from 4-6 p.m. in the church parking lot.

Kelly Miller Circus
The Kelly Miller Circus will be in Middlefield July 30 and 31 with 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 pm. shows on each date. The circus will be set up at Cardinal Middle School fields.
Come out early on July 30 to watch the circus crew set up. Setup is about 9 a.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. It is an interesting outing for preschool, camp, families and individuals.
Circus tickets are on sale now at Huntington Bank branches in Middlefield and Burton, Merryfield Electric, Ferroni’s Allegro Cafe & Bistro, Nauvoo Family Market, Middlefield Bank main and west branches, The Fig Tree, Save A Lot and Hilltop Variety. Advance purchase tickets cost are $10 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Children under 2 are free.
Tickets the day of the show at the circus grounds are $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12.
The fund-raising event is sponsored by the Middlefield Chamber of Commerce. Call the chamber office at 440-632-5705 with any questions. The office is staffed part time, so if there is no answer, leave a message with one’s name and phone number and Lynnette will return the call.
Concert in the Park
Fort Huntsburg Band will be performing at the Huntsburg Bandstand on July 19, rain or shine, from 6-8 p.m. The concert is free to attend; bring a lawn chair or blanket.
If it is raining, the concert will be held in the Town Hall. International night refreshments and hot dogs and popcorn will be available in the pavilion.
Sponsored by Tim Frank Septic Cleaning, the concert is a fund-raiser of the Huntsburg Grange.
Annual Trunk Sale
The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce’s annual trunk sale takes place Aug. 2, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harrington Square, 15561 W. High St. in Middlefield. Admission is free for shoppers.
There is still vendor space available. Spaces are $20 each or two spaces for $35. Payment is due at the Middlefield Chamber office by July 25.
Vendors can sell right from their car, or set up a table, chairs and tent covering. Bring tent leg weights; setup is on pavement. Spaces are premarked parking spaces. There are no refunds. Setup is from 6:30-8:45 a.m. Remaining spots open will cost $25 a space the day of sale.

Chamber Golf Outing
Register for the third annual Middlefield Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing at Grandview Golf Course. Cost is $75 an individual or $300 a foursome. Sponsorships are available.
