A Christmas Carol at GLTG

"A Christmas Carol" brings the spirit of the season to the Geauga Theater. This musical story tells of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man, who loves his money and work more than mankind. Scrooge's deceased partner, Jacob Marley, warns that three ghosts will visit to show him his fate. As Scrooge soars through time, he realizes his ways and wishes to redeem himself on Christmas Morning.

This unique version of the holiday classic was adapted from the novel by Charles Dickens for the Guild by Terry Sedivy and Rory Swift, with music by Sarah Hamrick, Donald Dingman and Laura Christian, and is directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen.

Sponsored by Chardon Smile Center in Chardon, the show runs through Dec. 16. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m.; the Sunday performances are at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, with a special rate of $10 for children 12 and under. For the best deal, it is not too late to consider purchasing a season pass.

The historic Geauga Theater is located at 101 Water St. in Chardon.
