Hilltopper Spaghetti Dinner

The Chardon Hilltopper Takedown Wrestling Club will hold its first annual Spaghetti Dinner Nov. 17 in the Chardon High School cafeteria from 4-8 p.m.

Event features Chinese raffle, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children. Takeout dinners are available.

Low Cost Spay/Neuter

Rescue Village and PetFix Northeast Ohio have teamed up to help stop pet overpopulation by offering low cost spay/neuter for cats and dogs to low income families and individuals. One does not have to live in Geauga County to qualify.

A clinic will take place Nov. 28 at Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Road in Russell Township. Fees vary by animal�s gender and weight, but range is from $30 to $70.

There are still limited openings for the November clinic. To register, call 440-338-4819 ext. 10.

Parkman FD Feather Party

The annual Parkman Fire Department Feather Party will be held Nov. 17 at the Parkman Community House. Doors open at 6 p.m.; games start at 6:30 p.m. Play for hams, turkeys, stuffed animals and door prizes. Food will be available. Popcorn is free.

CARE Ethnic Dinner, Auction

Citizens Advocating Responsible Energy (CARE) is hosting an ethnic dinner and silent auction fundraiser Nov. 17 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Montville Community Center, 9755 Madison Road. Admission to the all-you-can-eat dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free to children under 6. No reservations are required and carryout is available.

Kiwanis Xmas Tree Sale

The West Geauga Kiwanis Chesterland Christmas tree sale starts Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. at Chester Square Plaza, opposite Drug Mart. Locally grown Scots pine, Fraser fir and blue spruce, some as much as 10 feet tall, will be available.

The WG Kiwanis Club meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Baptist Church on Chillicothe Road. Anyone interested in membership may contact Ken Mantey at 440-729-2896.

Geauga Bee Keepers

Geauga County Bee Keepers will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Kent State University Geauga Campus, 11141 Claridon Troy Road, Burton.

There will be a general discussion; public is welcome. Refreshments will be served and there will be a door prize.

Breakfast With Santa

Parkman Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Breakfast with Santa Dec. 1 from 9 -11 a.m. at the Parkman Community House, 16295 Main Market Road.

Bring a camera to take a photo with Santa and enjoy a breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage and pancakes.

Cost is $2.50 for kids and $3.50 for adults.

Men�s Breakfast at Federated

The Men�s Ministries committee of the Federated Church of Chagrin Falls announces a Saturday Men�s Breakfast Nov. 17 from 8-10 a.m., at the Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road.

The event will feature a talk on The Sandwich Generation by David Schell, executive director at Breckenridge Village. This important topic about taking care of older parents while still taking care of one�s own children is pertinent today.

Tabletop Christmas Tree

Master Gardener Phyllis Mihalik will lead a class on creating tabletop Christmas trees made from nature�s bounty. The class is Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at Geauga County OSU Extension Office, Patterson Building, 14269 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton on the Burton Fairgrounds.

Learn how to use professional floral materials and prepare dried materials from the garden, then make a table top Christmas tree complete with decorations. All materials and light refreshments provided.

Xmas in Thompson

Christmas in Thompson Craft Show is Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ledgemont High School, 16700 Thompson Road, Thompson.

Enjoy the work of area crafters, a Chinese auction and dinner provided by the Ledgemont senior class.

Free admission with donation of a non-perishable item for the food bank.

Pearl Harbor Day

American Legion Post 459 is hosting an event at the Burton Village gazebo on the square at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day. Members of the post will conduct services honoring service men and women. The public is invited. For information, call Bo at 440-834-8764.

Breakfast With The Clauses

Munson Township is holding its annual Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus Dec. 8 at the Munson Township Hall, 12210 Auburn Road. Pictures with the Claus' will be available. Cost for the pancake and sausage breakfast is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-12 and free to children 3 and under.

Meal Volunteers Needed

The Geauga County Department on Aging is looking for holiday meal volunteers that can offer a few hours of their time on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22 and/or Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

Volunteers are needed to deliver hot meals and spend some time with them on each holiday.
