Metzenbaum Center Aktion Club Holding Food Drive

The Metzenbaum Center Aktion Club is currently holding its second annual food drive.
Last year, the service club for people with disabilities was able to put together 10 food baskets for families in need in Geauga County.
Sponsored by West Geauga Kiwanis, club members hope to help 15 families in need this, said Bonnie Veleba of the Recreation Leisure Department at Metzenbaum.
This year the baskets will include turkeys, perishable and non-perishable food items, and apple cider from Eddy's Fruit Farm in Chester Township, she added.
All food and proceeds were collected at the club�s annual Halloween dance, Veleba said.
�We are again going through Help Me Grow to identify the needy families,� she added. �We have also partnered with Old Navy in Solon to help with us with this project.�
On Nov. 11, Metzenbaum Center Aktion Club members along with the West Geauga Kiwanis and Old Navy employees will be putting the baskets together.
