From November through April, hours of operation are weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Meyer Center will be closed on weekends.
Weekend hours will resume May through October, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hours of operation remain the same year-round at The West Woods Nature Center in Russell Township, daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fold Up Nature
Imagine creating a frog, a duck or a crane with a sheet of paper - and no means of drawing them. There's a trick to this, and artist Ginger Wankewycz will show participants the way, using one sheet of kami (origami) paper each.
"Nature Folds" origami workshop is Nov. 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
Participants will pay $12 to take this class - $2 upon registration and then $10 directly to Ginger at the program. Workshop is for individuals 8 and older.

Geauga Park District : 11/1/2012
Issue 28 is a huge tax increase. The park district not only has a budget surplus annually, but they reported an unencumbered balance of $14,151,165.46 for 2013 to the Geauga County Auditor. This is a verifiable fact, a fact Jim Patterson would not share with the public because he knows if the residents were aware of this, they might not support such a large tax increase.
Why pay more?
