Atheist Appointments

Geauga County is gifted with an extraordinary park district that has grown to 20 separate parks for the residents to bike, kayak, hike, hunt, fish and actively explore. These free resources plus the many classes and science programs provide educational and recreational opportunities that support Geauga Countys attraction as a place to raise families and grow businesses.

However, GPDs visionary leadership appears now at risk.

Until recently, park district board commissioners were chosen for their special interest in nature, in line with the Geauga Park Districts mission statement valuing nature education in conservation and preservation.

Two recently appointed commissioners appeared so out of step with this mission that they were like atheists appointed to the priesthood. May Judge Grendell with his future appointments restore the integrity of the vision of the GPDs mission and thus help restore his own reputation.
