The day will include performances, workshops and many family-friendly activities such as face painting, acrobatics, storytelling, juggling, the popular Graffiti Wall for kids and much more. All afternoon events are free or of nominal charge.

The poetically inclined are encouraged to bring some of their material with them to Beans Coffee Shop & Bistro, which will host an open-mic poetry reading in the afternoon.

And pickers and strummers will want to bring along an instrument or two. At the end of the afternoon, near the Chardon Square gazebo, many of the performers will gather  and jam — and invite the audience to join in.

In addition to the Geauga Theater, other organizational sponsors of Arts Jam are the Geauga Council for Arts and Culture and Chardon Tomorrow.

Financial sponsors for the 2014 event include The Burr Funeral Home and Junction Auto Family.
