AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 127.052 DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT DELIVERY SYSTEM PROCEDURES TO CHAPTER 127 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES. .
An ordinance adopting a design-build project delivery system which allows the City of Chardon to sign a contract for construction of a project without bidding after selecting a design-build firm in accordance with the selection criteria in the ordinance which employs a licensed engineer or licensed architect to design the improvement and construct the improvement using subcontractors approved by the City Manager.

COURTNEY COMPANY TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE ROAD RESURFACING OF FIFTH AVENUE, WASHINGTON STREET, HUNTINGTON STREET AND GOODRICH COURT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with The C.W. Courtney Company to provide professional engineering and consulting services for the road resurfacing project comprising Fifth Avenue, Washington and Huntington Streets and Goodrich Court in an amount not to exceed $124,100.

ORDINANCE NO. 2822
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DIANE FARIZEL AND DANIEL FARIZEL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 211 WILSON MILLS ROAD, CITY OF CHARDON, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a lease of premises at 211 Wilson Mills Road to Diane Farizel and Daniel Farizel for one year, March 1, 2014 through February 28, 2015 in the amount of $12,000 for one year.

ZONING RESOLUTION
Notice is hereby given that the Parkman Township Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on an appeal for area variances to the Parkman Township Zoning Resolution on the 8th day of April, 2014 at 7:30 o’clock p.m. at the Parkman Township Community House.
This application, submitted by CNC Precision Machine, of 10011 Ohio 88, Garrettsville is requesting an area variance from Parkman Township Zoning Resolution for property located at 18360 Industrial Circle, Parkman Township for: 1. Lot less than minimum acreage required. Lot is 3.76 acre, minimum required is 5.0 acre. ARTICLE IV, Section 404.4 states, “The minimum lot area shall be 5 acres. 2. Lot less than minimum width required. Lot is 199′ wide at most narrow, minimum required is 300′. ARTICLE IV, Section 404.5 (A) states, “The minimum lot width shall be 300 feet, except for lots located on the arc of a permanent cul-de-sac road turnaround.” 3. Accessory building exceeds maximum area permitted. Proposed building footprint is 5,000 square feet, maximum permitted is 1,500 square feet on lots of 2.5-to-5 acre. ARTICLE IV Section 402.2 (G) states “Accessory buildings designed and used for, but not limited to, the storage of tools, equipment, supplies, motor vehicles, and other personal property owned by the occupants of the principal building or structure not to exceed 1,000 square feet per building on lots of record under 2.5 acres, 1,500 square feet per building on 2.5 to 5 acre lots, 2,000 square feet per building for more than 5 acres and up to 10 acre lots, and 2,500 square feet per building on greater than 10 acre lots. A maximum of two (2) accessory buildings per lot are permitted. All accessory buildings must meet the setback and sideline requirements as outlined in Section 402.6 and must be a minimum of 20 feet from any other building. Provided however, a utility building with a floor area of 200 square feet or less may be permitted on a lot subject to the regulations set forth in Section 402.10(N). 4. Proposed accessory building at less than minimum yard permitted. Proposed building is 63′, or 70′ depending on the angle from parcel boundary, minimum front setback is 100′. ARTICLE IV, Section 404.6 (B)(1) states “The minimum yards for all accessory buildings, structures and uses shall be from the road right-of-way as follows: 1. Front yard: 100 feet.” 5. Proposed accessory building at less than minimum yard permitted. Proposed building is 32′ from parcel edge, minimum side lot setback is 50′- 5 sided parcel does not contain right angles or parallel lines to facilitate easy description. ARTICLE IV, Section 404.6 (B)(2) states “Each side yard: 50 feet.” 6. Building at less than minimum yard permitted. Existing building is 22′ from parcel edge, minimum side lot setback is 50′- 5 sided parcel does not contain right angles or parallel lines to facilitate easy description. ARTICLE IV Section 404.6 (A)(2) states “Each side yard: 50 feet.” 7. Proposed building addition at less than minimum yard permitted. Proposed addition to building is 10′ from parcel edge, minimum side lot setback is 50′ 5 sided parcel does not contain right angles or parallel lines to facilitate easy description.
