Geauga Dems Re-Elect Local Leadership

Members of the Geauga County Democratic Party recently elected party officers and executive committee members.

Officers re-elected for a two-year term were Janet Carson, chairwoman; Dennis Pavella, vice chairman; Glen Quigley, treasurer; and Terri McIntee, secretary.

“As a leader on women and family issues, Janet Carson sets the bar high for supporting women in leadership,” said McIntee. “Janet has never asked anyone to do something that she hasn’t rolled up her sleeves and worked on also. She is an excellent role model for women in business, family values and education.”

Selected to serve on the executive committee were Deborah Barber, Dr. Robert Evans, Donald Kleve, Benjamin Kotowski, Joseph Lanese, James Mekeel, Barbara Miller, Jim Mueller, Deborah Reiter, Ronald Wiech, Joanne Wirtz-Ryan and Cyrene Zion.

The committee is responsible for assisting the officers in fiscal management of the party, coordinating events, electing candidates and continuing to offer two-way communication to the local community.

The Geauga Democratic Party meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at 12420 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township.
