The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office on March 20-26. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 334 calls during this seven-day period.

ANIMAL PROBLEM

March 20

12:39 p.m., Woodiebrook Road, Munson. There is a house that is vacant and no one has been home since Tuesday. There is a dog inside and no one has been there since Tuesday to take care of the dog. We have cameras on our house, so we know no one has been there to take care of it. Deputy advised. The owner is in the hospital. Deputy noted the dog inside had a small amount of food and small amount of water. The dog food bag was next to the bowl. Owner will have the family check on the dog.

FOUND PROPERTY

March 24

2:12 p.m., Stafford Road, Auburn. Complainant called the administrative line and advised her son found a police/fire radio on the road. Chief requested a deputy pick it up at the residence and bring it to the post to locate the owner. Deputy called complainant back and advised her a deputy is en route to pick it up. She wasn’t sure what the item was.

OVERDOSE

March 22

3:13 p.m., Bridge Road, Middlefield. A 24-year-old male overdosed on heroin. He is intoxicated. He also does Percocet. They were taking Percocet last night and he had seven of those. The caller took three of them last night. He took heroin sometime today. The male admitted to doing heroin. He did take Percocet a few hours ago. He also has been drinking. He did the heroin five hours ago by shooting it up into his arm. Male is still breathing. Male refused treatment. Report sent to narcotics.

SUSPICIOUS

March 24

5:06 p.m., Cloverdale Drive, Middlefield. The caller advised she is afraid and wants to speak to a deputy. The caller sounds mildly disabled. She is fearing there is spyware on her computer. She thinks the suspect is from Aurora. She said he is a locksmith and she fears he will get into her residence.

March 25

3:10 p.m., Burton Windsor Road, Burton. Complainant advised the lock on the garage was cut off. He does not know if anything was taken. He would like to speak to a deputy. He believes it may have been the previous owner of the property. Complainant rents the garage. Deputy spoke to complainant and learned the locks are getting cut off by the landlord/owner of the property. Owner advised complainant several times not to place locks on the building. Civil issue and advice given.

March 25

7:49 p.m., Thompson Road, Thompson. Caller is at this residence to check on the home because her mother in law is in a nursing home. Caller was cleaning up the house and it appears someone has been in the house. Things are out of place, cabinets are open and back door was unlocked. Deputy was unable to determine if anyone entered the home. No signs of forced entry, nothing missing. Small oddities were observed by com-plainant. Advice given.

March 26

2:55 p.m., Zenith Drive, Newbury. Came home and it appears someone took our gas can out of the garage and then threw it back in our garage. Odor of gas in the garage possibly spilled out of the can.

THREATENING

March 21

4:24 p.m., Taylor May Road, Auburn. The caller received threats from an old coworker that he would kill the caller and his family on Facebook. Complainant wished to document that threats have been made by a former employee who now resides in Indiana. Threats were made over Facebook in a group setting which the complainant was not a part of. The messages were copied and forwarded to him. The threats were made regarding their plant in Indiana as well as the complainant who works at the plant in Aurora. Complainant already spoke with Bristol, Ind., police and was going to contact Aurora, Ohio, Police Department.

March 25

3:24 p.m., Bass Lake Road, Newbury. Caller states her boyfriend has been assaulting her and he threatened to kill her and her family if she goes to the police. She also states he has some of her belongings and does not know where he is. The female stated the last time he assaulted her was last Thursday and he has connections with the “Outlaws.”

VANDALISM

March 20

3:49 p.m., Hobart Road, Parkman. Caller believes someone is taking lug nuts off his vehicle. Trooper advised. Front tire fell off the complainants vehicle last night when he was driving home from Walmart in Middlefield. Complainant does not know if somebody tampered with his vehicle. Complainant requesting this information be documented in case he has any further problems. Extra patrol requested at the residence.

March 23

7:55 p.m., Mayfield Road, Huntsburg. Caller states someone vandalized her husband’s headstone at Huntsburg Township Cemetery. Caller believes it was her granddaughter’s ex-boyfriend because they broke up and he was upset. Caller believes he caused the damage. Caller is at home now to meet with a deputy.

WELFARE CHECK

March 20

10:20 a.m., Burton Windsor Road, Burton. Caller advises his friend just stopped at the location to run his dog and found a male in a sleeping bag with beer cans all over. The caller did not want to approach the male in case there was a problem with him. Unknown if sleeping or unconscious. There will be a tan car parked in the parking spot. The caller and his friend are standing by the road.
